5. Reports

5.1 - State Delegate – M. Stringer

Things are a bit slow at this time of year, but the committee is still working hard in the background to try and get a show calendar up and running we will continue to ask other groups to come on board and share the cost of the grounds so members have more classes to enter so fingers crossed the members will come out and support the shows. The Vic AGM is booked for the 9th of August at the Commercial Hotel Ballan starting at 11.30am then Lunch Break we will do the High Point Awards. I have been in touch with most of Agi Society to make sure they have been including mini classes, and I have updated the 2026 -2027 show dates and added them to the Website. Look forward to seeing everyone out and about this year Stay Safe. Just remember you’ll never know until you give it a go

5.2 - Treasurer – M. Miller – J. Spiteri had the information from the Profit and loss statement from LBC

May – No income - loss of $310

Year to date Profitthis year of $1924

Last year a loss of $2153.

M. Stringer said that all our hard work has paid off well done to everyone this is a great result

5.3 - Facebook – J. Spiteri - No report as such as we are all keeping an eye out for any messages

5.4 - Judges Co-ordinator – West - S. Foss – No Report

East – D. Miljkovic – No Report

5.5 - Futurity / Maturity Co-ordinator – J. Spiteri

Said that she is about to sent out a remember to everyone as closing date is fast approaching. This year if paperwork is not filed in correctly, it will be sent back to the member as J. Spiteri doesn’t have time to fill in all the relevant pony information and this is up to the member to fill in the paperwork. It was discussed to add that $10 fee if paperwork has to be returned

5.6 - High Points Co-ordinator – C. Dyer

46 cards went out 30 cards Returned, I’m very pleased with the turn out.

Since covid, Highpoints has come back do like the setup in the old set up of categories

makes it easier to sort and created an even playing field.

The return date and the rules that are on the cards has always been, the return time has

always been, at shows people must get their cards signed. There is a thought to extend return time to the mid or end of June due to young stock shows? Still giving us a month to sort points trophies and things required for the Presentation.

As with sponsorship for rugs has been arranged and final count of points will be done for the

presentation at the AGM. Looking forward to next season, a member has already paid for entries she has put in have informed of this meeting and next season is not finalised till the AGM.

6. Promotional Co – Ordinator’s Reports

6.1 – Eastern (Westernport & Gippsland) Report– D. Miljkovic – Nothing much to report has confirmed Judge for the 4th of October will there be a food van for this event M. Stringer to follow up with M. Miller and D. Miljkovic is still working on a Judge for the 25thOctober

6.2 - Northern (Central Goldfields) Report – C. Dyer – The Judges that was going to be use for the show at Elmore will not be used for the Central Goldfields show

6.3 - Geelong – B. Coles Still no invoice for last year show at the cattle yards and yes confirmation that the cattle yard has been booked for this years show on the 1st of November

7. General Business

7.1 - Joint foal and youngstock show next year at Ballarat Showgrounds

with the Welsh group – S. Foss will keep the committee updated with the outcome and bring any new information to the next meeting

7.2 - Wording for Highpoint rugs – J. Spiteri needs to know what to emborder on the rugs

M. Stringer let the committee know that J. Spiteri not only is going to emborder the rugs she is making them from scratch. Wording will be AMPS Logo, Vic Highpoint Winner and the category that they have won and sponsored by

7.3 – Change of closing date for the High Point Cards due to all the foal and youngstock show that are back up and running which needed to be included the new closing date will now be the 31st of June M. Stringer to change the date on the flyer that is give out to all Vic Members

7.4 – C. Foss said she has sent out a few enquiries for venues for our Training Day and the only response she has received is from Kilmore Equestrian $185 for a half day plus $70 for the kitchen. J. Maver has said that Mt Wallace is open now and that is just up the road and that is $200 which includes everything which the committee said was great C. Foss will follow up

7.5 – J. Spiteri has said that Sue from Phoenix feeds has offered sponsorship for Fashions on the Fields classes Child under 17 years and under and adult classes. Sponsorship will be an arrange of Phoenix Feed products. M. Stringer said that this would be great at Barastoc or a show like it. J. Spiteri to check with Sue as to what show she would like this to be run at

7.6 - J. Maver has asked if we could add a long reining class into our show programs maybe for a start just at one show and see what the members want so just 2 classes one Novice and the other advance, Gear check must be done and children must wear helmets a lot of decision around this was done and the committee has agreed to discuss more at the next meeting

7.7 – D. Miljkovic has asked if the committee could send a certificate of appreciation to Drysdale feeds as again, they have offered bags of feed for this coming show season and also T. Harris has offered something for the children’s classes but D, Miljkovic is not sure what at this point in time. M. Stringer has asked D. Miljkovic to send through contact name and details, for Drysdale feeds and she will get this done and sent out ASAP

7.8 – J. Spiteri said that the committee should start asking for sponsorship as this is what other societies are doing. C Foss said that she has sponsorship letters already done and is happy to send out letters and see what we get back, the committee was happy with this

7.9 – B. Coles brought a couple of Hodgepodge Pony’s for the committee to see and wanted to know if we could use them as trophies as they were only $22 and they were so cute all committee loved them and agreed to use them where needed

7.10 – Pocket Ponies sponsorship – J. Spiteri has offered once again to sponsor one of our shows and this year she would like to do the double show at the Berwick Show Grounds on Sunday 21st February 2027 the Committee has thanked Pocket Ponies for their ongoing support

7.11 – Venue for next meeting – M. Stringer suggested that we look for a new venue as today was not up to standard the Committee is happy with Ballan just a different place J. Spiteri suggested on that we could have the meeting at Pocket Ponies shop and everyone bring a plate or we could look at one of the coffee shops in the main street M. Stringer and J. Spiteri to look at these options before the next meeting, M. Stringer to get M. Miller to cancel the booking at the Commercial Hotel once new venue has been sorted

Once again, the Victorian Committee will be running the High Point Awards.

These cards will be available shortly, you will need to download the High Point application forms from the National Website

Once you have filled in your application forms, please send them to Chris Dyer via email ciandyer1976@bigpond.com or post to 135 Wongaburra Road Lockwood Vic 3551

once applications have been received and payment has been made, Chris will then send out your high point cards

You can begin earning your points as of 1st September 2026

and all cards must be returned to Chris NO LATER

than 5:00pm 30th June 2027

NB: Points will only be counted from your best 6 (Six) shows from any Miniature Pony / Appendix Classes at any AMPS® Shows, Agricultural Shows or Equine Shows
