5.1 State Delegate – M. Stringer
Wow how fast has this year gone and here we are again at the Victorian AGM so I want to start off by thanking all the outgoing committee for all their hard work and patience there will be face that will be greatly missed that have been on this committee for ever and a day which is Glen and Carol Drust and Cheryl and Craig Shedden which I know we are all going to miss greatly but they all have other commitments that they need to do so from Myself the Committee and all the members THANKYOU THANKYOU also a special mention goes to all the families and friends that also get roped in to been a part of our committee and help with everything as without all of you the members would not have any shows or activities to enjoy Again, I need to thank everyone who donated Garlands, prize money, trophies and raffle prizes without all of you there would be no shows or classes and let’s hope that 2024 /2025 will be the show season that we all remember. The AMPS shows that we held this year were supported by new and old members who showed up in all sorts of weather conditions and again I have had a lot of comments from Judges and organiser of the shows on the high standard of showmanship and quality of the ponies that have been present so hats off to everyone for showcasing our wonderful breed and hopefully we as a Society can keep moving forward. For those of you that don’t know we hold our Victorian meetings on the first Friday night of every second month so keep an eye on the website / Facebook for the venues as this is an issue at the moment to try and find somewhere that doesn’t cost an arm and leg LOL. So please if you are interested in making a difference or have new ideas, please I encourage you to come to meetings and help the Victorian Committee and AMPS® Society build up to the way it was before. Looking forward to hopefully a somewhat normal Showing / Breeding year fingers crossed

6 Promotional Co – Ordinator’s Reports
6.1 Westernport – D. Miljkovic – Judge will be organised shortly. M. Miller has picked up all the Westernport gear form G & C Drust
6.2 Central Goldfields Report – C. Dyer – No Report
6.3 Gippsland – J. Prosser has said she will run try and run 2 shows.
7 General Business
7.1 Proposed State Feature Show Program at Ballan – J. Spiter and K. Taylor are still trying to organize a date in the new year to be able to run with the pony club. Once this is finalised M. Miller to contact T. Collett and M. Chandley to let them know that we are going ahead with their program at this show
7.2 Ground and Show Dates for AMPS run Shows 2024 – 2025 6th October Pocket Ponies Start of season show is done. D. Miljkovic said she will donate a couple of bags of chaff for both the Pockets Show and the Westernport Show. C. Dyer feels that holding his Goldfield Show at Elmore is too much for the members to go to the Westernport Show the day after. M. Stringer said that we have sort of already booked the grounds for Elmore and that Westernport could change their day for other date. Discussion held and agreed to move to next meet.
7.3 A lot of discuss was held as to what classes we need to have for the up-and-coming Promotional Groups shows M. Stringer asked the committee to look over the old programs that J. Spiteri brought and work out what classes we need to have as all groups has to run the same classes so this will not affect the High Point classes. Committee discussion and all have agreed to the original old program to be used for across all promotional groups with the addition of 2 junior rider classes that must be let. M. Stringer to send the program out to all the Groups.
7.4 M. Stringer said that Barastoc show this year will be a qualifying event as now shows are all back up and running. Hopefully we should here soon what date it is.
7.5 M. Stringer to contact J. Prosser to see where and what shows she is going to hold.
7.6 M. Stringer has said that she has had a lot of conversations with Geelong Royal as they have now decided to NOT run under AMPS rules for this year’s Royal but still left the heading Australian Miniature Pony this now means that anything that is registered with ANY Miniature group will now be able to entry these classes. One of our long-standing members is very upset as she has sponsored this event for the last 15 years and they have not even accepted her trophies or rugs which is not very nice at all.
