AMPSR SA 2026 / 2027 Show Season

Gawler Agricultural Show:
As advised by earlier email, our first AMPS® SA High Point Classes of the coming 2026 / 2027 Show Season will be at the 2026 Gawler Agricultural Show on Saturday 29 August, 2026.
The Programme and entries are now open on Nominate and that entries close on Friday 21 August, 2026.

Balaklava Agricultural Show:
Our second set of High Point Classes will be at the Balaklava Agricultural Show on Saturday 26 September, 2026 and attached is the Balaklava Show HIA Programme. Entries close on Wednesday 23 September, 2026 and although entries are online, to assist those Members who have contacted me as they have had issues doing online entries, I have been able to arrange for our competitors to do manual entries. If you wish to take advantage of this arrangement, please email balakshow@gmail.com for an entry form.
Promotional Event – Meadows Country Fair:
We have been invited to attend the Meadows Country Fair again this year, which is being held on Sunday 18 October, 2026 at Meadows. This is a great social day and Members are invited to attend with or without their Ponies. If you are interested in attending, or would like more information please contact me.
Our coming Show Season Show dates are in the process of being set and as soon as they have been finalized, our Show Calendar will be emailed to Members.

High Point Presentation Luncheon,
Hi All,
We had a good turnout for our High Point and Special Award Presentations last Sunday at Mt Pleasant and I would like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone who came and also those who contributed to the day, by way of bringing food, drink and / or prizes for the Lucky Door Prizes and Raffle; proceeds of which will go towards the cost of the hire of the venue.
Also a special THANKYOU to Helen Satterley, Meghan Amor and Alyssa Amor for their assistance collecting the key and setting up on Saturday and also to Maria Sorensen, Helen Klingberg and Sharon Hoggett who assisted prior to the event with Trophy preparation and / or collection / delivery; all of which was very much appreciated. THANKYOU also to Shirley Smith who kindly took photos for us.
Please find attached a list of the 2024 / 2025 and 2025 / 2026 High Point and Runner-Up High Point Winners, as well as the Special Award Winners.
CONGRATULATIONS to not only the Winners of the Awards, but to everyone who competed at our Shows during the Show Seasons and for your support of our AMPS® SA Promotional Group.

Hi All,
Please find attached the AMPS® SA 2026 / 2027 Shows & Events Calendar, as well as the High Point Classes for the coming season and the High Point Conditions.
As some of you would be aware, we are unable to hold any Shows at Talunga Park, Mt Pleasant Oval this year, due to some planned maintenance work on the Mt Pleasant Oval, however as you will see on the Calendar, we have been able to book Balhannah Oval for our Shows.
As is our usual custom, we will be holding our Shows in conjunction with the MHAA® SA Promotional Group, which has worked very successfully in past years, especially for those of our Members who have Miniature Ponies and Miniature Horses that they enjoy showing. It also enables us to save on costs by sharing Ground Hire and Judge Fees etc.
It is also timely to remind Members to check their Pony Registrations to see if they need upgrading and / or if any measurements are due, so that if required, these can be arranged before the Show Season commences.
If you have any queries with regards to the coming Show Season, or Pony upgrades or measurements, please do not hesitate to contact me.
