Sadly the worst news that I can give in 2021, and I cannot stress that this has been an extremely hard decision for me to make, but I am saddened to advise that 2021 will be my last year as the NSW State Delegate. I intend to see out my time for the remainder of this financial year, but I have officially giving six month’s notice to both the members and the national committee that I will not be re-standing at the conclusion this time.
I have had to make this very hard decision due to increased work commitments and growing family health commitments and I simply will not be able to give my voluntary time like I have been able to moving forward for the society.
I do hope that by given this notice period it gives any of our NSW Members who might want to put their hand up to take on the role of NSW State Delegate time to think if they might like to give it a go, I am more than happy to chat with anyone that might want to give the role a go and aren’t sure what exactly is involved in doing the job or aren’t sure if they think they could do the job. There is a great deal of support from the rest of the national committee who I am sure would be willing to offer assistance that you may need.
If you think you might like to nominate yourself for the role of NSW State Delegate official nominations need to be submitted usually the first week in August by financial members. For further details about this you can contact myself or the National Secretary
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time over the last couple of years, and I cannot begin to say how hard this decision has been to make, if I knew I could give my time I would continue on that’s for sure. There has been a lot of personally rewarding things I have done during my time. We have seen some really great shows held in NSW with record prizes given away and very well supported events by both our members and seen great sponsors. I have also enjoyed people asking me about our wonderful breed and then taking the leap in purchasing a pony and beginning their journey with our beautiful little equines that we love so dearly; which I will miss the most.
You will still see me about at shows with my ponies and I am always be happy to chat with anyone about all things Miniature Ponies.

On Tuesday 19th January at the meeting of the Crookwell AP&H a motion was passed to cancel the 2021 show.
Our main concern is the safety and well being of local residents. As the show always attracts people from all areas near and far which we perceive to be untenable in this current climate.
We hope to stage a series of smaller agriculture based events between now and Christmas in a reduced format to fill the gap in our show calendar. These events will be very community minded, encompassing both agriculture and pavilion based events including our schools and local community groups.

The Camden Show Society Committee met on Monday 18th January 2021 to discuss the implications on the 2021 Show occurring during the current COVID-19 Pandemic.
The committee have decided, by a unanimous vote, to cancel the 135th Annual Camden Show in 2021, for the safety of our attendees, volunteers, and local community.
Due to the uncertainty of the current state of COVID-19, it was determined that the potential risk to the community was too great.
Our members, volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, competitors, and community are of the utmost importance to us and it is with great sadness that we must cancel due to the current climate of the virus.
We thank everyone for your patience, understanding and ongoing support. We will be in contact with our stakeholders in due course.
We are looking forward to bringing back a bigger and better Show in 2022.
136TH ANNUAL CAMDEN SHOW
FRIDAY 1ST APRIL & SATURDAY 2ND APRIL 2022
On the 13th of January the Committee of the Luddenham A H & I Society Inc unanimously decided to cancel the 2021 Luddenham Show. We did look at moving this year’s Show to later in the year but it was decided it would be better to cancel this year completely.
With the uncertain future of COVID-19, the changing daily circumstances and the unknown restrictions that may apply in March, the Committee made this tough decision with the health, safety and wellbeing of the whole community in mind.
Luddenham Show Society would like to take this opportunity to thank the local community, sponsors, supporters, volunteers and exhibitors for their support over the years and look forward to working with you all in the future. We are now putting all our efforts into planning the 2022 Show to be held on the 5th & 6th March.
Please Keep Safe and Take Care.

📣 We are sorry to announce that the Rylstone-Kandos Show will not go ahead in 2021 📣
After a general meeting attended by both committee and general members on the 12th of January 2021, the Rylstone-Kandos Show Society has unanimously reached the decision to cancel our Show scheduled for the 26th and 27th of February 2021.
Based on feedback and concerns received from committee, members, stewards and the wider community, we feel this is the best decision to make in the dynamic social climate that we are currently experiencing.
This decision was one that took much deliberation and was certainly not taken lightly.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this causes, and we understand how disappointing it is to not see the show go ahead this year. We thank you all for your ongoing support and understanding.
Please watch this space; the RKSS still plans to offer events where we can get together as a local community and enjoy each other’s company whilst celebrating our fantastic region.
On behalf of Bowral Show Inc. we regretfully advise the 2021 Bowral Show will be cancelled.
Due to the uncertainty of the current state of Covid 19 affecting the greater Sydney area/Wollongong and Canberra, which all surrounds Bowral, our committee has decided that the potential public health risk that this poses, is too much of a risk to the local community. Based on this we have regretfully resolved to cancel the Bowral Show for 2021.

The RNCAS has made the difficult decision to postpone our 2021 Royal Canberra Horse Show in February 2021. The horse committee will announce the new proposed dates shortly with aim to run our event towards the end of 2021 to coincide with the other Royal Shows.
At the moment (from 2nd December 2020) ACT Health have stated ”events of over 500 people, which run over multiple days, with the same attendees are unlikely to be considered in view of the risks involved, and in particular where there is communal camping element proposed”
The Society will make an announcement with the new confirmed dates once everything has been locked in. These dates will be posted on our Facebook page, Website and emailed to exhibitors. In the meantime please respect our volunteers and staff as they try to do the best they can in these unprecedented circumstances.
